Wedding season is approaching, so this month we wanted to partner with a bridal boutique to give you an insight into what to expect when on the hunt for the perfect wedding dress. Our very first partnership for this blog series is with the lovely June Peony Bridal Couture

How long has your business been established?
June Peony Bridal Couture established in spring 2016 at the premise which has over 30 years old bridal trading business in Hall Green, Birmingham.
How do you deliver a unique experience for your customers?
We give a 1-1 guide, personal shopping service tailored to customer’s individual needs.
Each bride is different, and we aim to create the best bridal look for every our brides.
We have a spacious private fitting room with sweets and refreshments or wines on offer for the Bride and her guests to enjoy a joyful “Say Yes to the Dress” time and experience.
Are you able to customise your dresses to make them more bespoke for the customer?
Yes, as long as the time allows, we can offer a bespoke wedding dress/ pageant dress service based on the styles, shapes and fabrics of the dresses that we have on offer during a certain period.
Do you have a fixed price for your dresses or can you do special pricing depending on the client?
The prices are fixed, however, we offer the bride our special wedding package if they want to have a multi-purchase from us for her wedding dress, bridesmaids dress, and accessories. Of course, we also publish some seasonal offers from time to time through social media, so customers who follow us on social media sometimes can get the best chance to get their favourite dress with a good price.
How much time do you recommend your customers to start looking for a dress before their wedding?
Around 9- 12 months before the wedding is a good time to start looking. Of course, we can also accommodate Bride’s rush order, we do carry certain stock for a bride to buy from the peg. But for bespoke wedding dress service, it needs at least 6 months to process the order.
How long does it take for alterations to be made to the dress?
It depends on the time of year and complexity of the alteration work. Wedding dress alteration usually takes 1-3 weeks, average 2 weeks time. For some urgent orders, we will do our best to finish alteration quicker.
What are the most common questions (and answers) you are asked by your clients?
What happens if I lose weight?- The dress can be taken in to fit.
Could I have the dress made with long sleeves? Yes, for most designs, we can make the gown with sleeves.
Do I have to take the dress home straight away?- No, we can keep it for you until the week of the wedding and steam it for you.
What advice would you give to your clients for their wedding day?
Don’t leave everything until the last minute, make sure you budget for extras such as alterations and accessories for yourself and Bridesmaids.
Don’t get stressed! Everyone coming to your wedding will want to have a good time, so just enjoy the wedding planning and your big day will be amazing!
